General Submission Guidelines
Published by Jason M. Heim [jase] on 2008/2/6 (2365 reads)

Please look for the latest theme announcement and submit works that employ the theme. Creative interpretation of the theme is highly encouraged.

We accept previously unpublished fiction, non-fiction, and semi-autobiographical written works for publication in a theme-based literary zine that will be released online in two formats: HTML and print-your-own PDF.

Please look for the latest theme announcement and submit works that employ the theme. Creative interpretation of the theme is highly encouraged. Be sure to submit before the deadline and within the prescribed word limit.

If accepted, the HTML version of your work will be listed at Colored Chalk as a normal web-published story. The downloadable PDF version will include all of the stories in that issue, and will be laid out to work with any normal home printer. Hardcopies will be distributed for free at various bookshops and other locations by the editor as well as by anyone willing to print the PDF themselves and hand out copies.

Unless specified otherwise, please email your submissions to the current editor's email address as an attachment. Use Microsoft Word or plain text format. Use the body of the email as your cover letter, and include a breif bio.

Responses will be sent within one month.

Accepted submissions receive no direct payment, but those who are willing to use Google AdSense are eligible to participate in the ad-rotation program used on this site, AdPie.

Thank you and we look forward to reading your work.
